My son sent took apart my 1973 Ithaca Model 37 12 gauge and sent it out to be refurbished.
A guy in Interlaken NY who is a Ithaca specialist.
My son stripped the stock and fore grip and put a new oil finish on it.
He did a wonderful job on it, cleaning up the fancy knurled parts on the stock was tedious.
I've had it for 40 years, always took good care of it but it was showing it's age.
We took it out a couple weeks ago and blasted some clay pigeons.
After about 8 misses I started nailing them, it was a blast!

With the smooth bore deerslayer barrel and 2X scope I can put deer slugs within a 2" grouping at 70 yards.
All day long.

Why a scope on a shotgun? People here would give you a real hard time about that.
Nice gun too!

Scoped slugs guns are very popular in populated area's to hunt deer. Much lower effective range than a rifle! 440'

Yes, up until fairly recently use of a rifle for deer was not allowed in my hunting zone.

great kid & nice present too

Used to hunt deer with a shotgun and slug back in the day. Never used a scope tho....

Got a scope on my pellet rifle and like it :D

Great job by your son.
