I have a friend that has a 68 Shelby KR 500. Or is it a 69? Nasty machine whichever. Have had several friends with them back in the day. I think they were great cars and worth some serious coin these days. Black on black KR500 was my favorite look with some Cragars or Keystones.

Shelby story.

A friend bought a 67 GT500 in the late 80’s, very nice car. Took to the drags without telling his wife cause she would have come unglued. The plastic oil pressure gauge line leaked and caught the oil on fire. Made a mess underhood from the soot and smoke. He got it repaired and cleaned up and she never found out.

He kept the car a few years and made $5K on it. Though he hit the jackpot. Sold it for 20K. We can only laugh now.

NAAA, it’s classic 60’s American iron with Big Blocks! Not just mustangs, the good ones - Shelby.

We don’t need no plastic Asian rides!

I never have really been a big Mustang fan
but a couple of the Sport-roof/Fast-back
Mustangs & Shelby's were pretty damn cool
67-70 my preferences, not all were Shelby's
Boss 429, Mach-1, GT-350, GT-500 or KR500, 428 Twisters
didn't originally like the 69-70 Shelby's, but like them now...

way to many squirrels, seemingly all drove them
were owning/driving Mustangs in my hay-day
contributed to a, really bad impressions in my mind of the cars
(sorry not intended to offend anyone, that drove or likes them JMHFO)

Now the Shelby's/Ford AC Cobra's, GT40 & the Daytona Coupes,
completely different story all together, fucken' bad ***
just can't really fit in any

I liked the 68-70 Torino's GT/Galaxies/Talladega
only the Sport-Roof/Fast-Backs
& a few of the 66-67 BB Fairlane's 390 GTA or GT
or 64 Falcon sprints (just a re-bodied Mustang or visa versa)
the 64 Thunderbolts/427 Falcons were cool as hell
For the Ford line ups
