Hay Shortage?

Texas has some big time laws against animal cruety. I guess some idiot Dem. liberal here figured a stock dog riding in the back of a pickup might fall out!!??? lol
But S E Tx to me is not real ag country! I bet they ride in pickups out in SW Tx but those guys run 90 mph and those dogs better hang on!!!!!

Who on here has a truck that can carry hay from Missouri to where ever in the deep south Big country lives? For a really good price, like the cost of the fuel?
Depend on how many he needs. Would pretty expensive trucking. I could only haul 5 - 1500# bales. I only get 8 mpg.

You see dogs in beds and on flatbeds up and down the highway here. My “cow dog” is my wife’s morkie. That little fella has run more than one cow up in a chute or back through a gate, quick. He’s smart and wants to ride everywhere, but I let him ride in the truck haha. He loves to ride the golf cart and in the tractor.

For long distance, I’d have to buy in bulk. That’s why I wouldn’t want to go super far to pick them up because I can only haul 20 bales under 900 pounds each. Big bales I’d have to take less. 18 wheeler load is around 40 ish. That’s the only way it would be feasible.

Had a customer that breed and showed yorkies. Those short legs dont relate to their speed.

You’re right about that. I thought our outside cats were fast. They can get the jump and he can still run them down. Incredibly fast.

In the old days trucking Timothy Hay from the farm down to Virginia.
