Butch Patrick had a replica Dragula at the Iola Old Car Show in 2017. He even took it for a spin around the grounds. Sounded healthy. A placard with it said the original was stolen.

It's also the "only car that can play "Oh Promise Me" in 2nd gear" as per Grandpa!

Do we know what the drivetrain is/was. Who built the replica? Did they research the original or just make it look the part?

Butch Patrick was at the Turkey Run in Daytona Beach last Nov. He had both the Munster Koach and Dragula replicas there. From his website, the original Dragula was stolen for Planet Hollywood in Atlantic City in 2005. The Koach is in a private museum in Miami. He had the cars built by Rucker Posey of Richmond, VA.

I just saw an episode of My Classic Car where Dennis Gage visited a guy who had a Munster Coach and a Dragula. He said both were build by a guy who worked with George Barris and they were built under the direction or with George. Each of them were the third ones built. I believe they both had Ford 289 engines. One of them was a Cobra - I think it was the coach. The coach had a fiberglass body but the original is steel. The Dragula is also fiberglass, and I think the original was, too.

I'm amazed that a car as unique as Dragula would get stolen.

That was probably the best pair of Customs ever created. The shows was corny but comical. The actresses and actors nailed the parts.

Eddie Munster himself (Butch) had his replicas at a local cruise night near us last summer. They were cool to see in person.
