Evening guys. 1970 Super Bee
I've got a dilemma and I need some advice.
I've rebuilt my hinges with pins and bushings from AMD.
I've adjusted the door to the quarter but NOW the vent window frame is hitting the weather stripping and the door doesnt want to close. This is all with striker removed.
What am I missing?
Secondly, the space between the rocker and door is tighter at the front vs the rear?
All original metal and weather stripping
If anyone has some advise, I'd greatly appreciate it!

The door needs to be adjusted to have an even gap along the rockers and the quarter panel...as best as you can.

Did you line up the door before the hinge rebuild, or after?

With the fenders removed, and striker removed.

1.Cinch down your hinges to the body first using only the bolts accessable from the outside.

2.Then use your bolts to the door to set the rotation of the door to the quarter.

3. Use a drift on the hinge to adjust fore and aft to set your quarter and rocker gap.

4. Insert and tighten inner hinge bolts.

Possibly a gross over simplification since it sounds like this isn't your first rodeo. From your description it sounds like you have to rotate the door. Whether you have to send the bottom forward, top back, or split the difference is impossible to tell on the internet....try pushing your lower hinge a hair forward if possible. Measurements compound over length when trying to square. A 16th back and down can equal much more up top. Also it may be length wise rotation causing the hang up. If you are working alone it sucks!

That's my thought too. I'm getting stuck somewhere

I messed with it yesterday but after a couple of hours, I got frustrated and walked away.
I can get the body line perfect at the top but the space between the door and rocker goes from narrow at the front to large at the rear. I'm sure it's something simple but I cant seem to get it. The vent window is still hitting the windshield post and it wont allow the door to shut freely.....
I'm Beyond frustrated!!
