I sent my Pot Metal Trim pieces for my '63 Dodge 330 Sedan to Advanced Chrome Plating, in Tennessee, and they ruined them. They are the Hood & Trunk Stars, along with the Dodge emblems for the Trunk, and 2 Front Fenders. I have a detailed post, with pics & part #'s, in the WTB Section. Just posting here, as it may catch Someone's eye, otherwise. Thanks for any help on this...

So did I, which is why I dealt with them. Some pieces came back nice, but anything detailed had pits, and / or blisters. I returned them, and they sent them back, and said I needed to grind out the blisters, and fill the pits. Granted, these areas are where it needs some detailing with black paint, but I would have thought the grinding and filling was done before the chrome was applied ? Now I'm doing bodywork on freshly chromed parts, instead of just detailing them...

Check your parts wanted ad. I have one of the Dodge emblems Nos..

Aparently you started a wanted ad for the pieces. I'll leave this thread up because of the good recommendations here but you shouldn't put up 2 wanted ads. Thanks

This post was just to catch some eyes that don't wander to the WTB section, and hopefully stir some memories of what someone may have on a shelf from many years ago, collecting dust. It's more of a "Hey '62-'65 Guys, take a look at the WTB section" post, with no pics. Thanks...

Pot metal stuff is expensive as hell to chrome as I have just learned. They have to drill -in- fill with silver solder. R&D plating in Elizabethton ,TN did an awesome but very expensive job on some of my 64 parts. They also managed to loose a part of mine which the chroming was paid for and have not offered to refund my money for the chroming of the part or the part it self. This weeks fire to be put out, ain't this fun.

Sale and wanted information in non classified threads are against the site rules. That's why this thread was edited to remove that information. PM sent.
