TV series worth watching...

An outstanding British police drama from about 10 years ago is Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren. Excellent show.

I am constantly amazed watching American television. Watching Naked and Afraid last night, they bleeped out the word 'pussy'. Really????? They even blur out the top of a butt crack on some shows. Yet America leads the world in the **** industry. :realcrazy:

Crime Story, about Las Vegas, late 50's
Chicago/Detroit/NYC Mob connections,
FBI task force & the Gumba's La Familia & hold on the Casinos
crime & cops stuff, mostly In Vegas etc.

That one's on Brit Box.

Great old cars on Crime Story.
Dennis Farina was actually a Chicago cop.
IIRC He drove a Black (& Gold ?) 58-59 Desoto Fireflite
or something like that
been years since I saw the series, going on my memory

MI-5 is a good British show about their intelligence agency.

I know. It’s a great song.
The whole show was awesome. The entire cast was strong, filmed beautifully, and well written. Unlike most of today’s shows (looking at you, Game of Thrones) they actually are dark at night, and light during the day. Not just dark, all the time.

Yes Crime Story was a great show. Anthony Denison played the role perfectly.
I have not seen that on Tv in
A long time.

I miss Cheers
& the org. cast of Two & a Half Men, with Charlie Sheen

both shows made me laugh every time
even the reruns, I knew the punch-lines/story-lines

not sure it's been mentioned

Johnny Carson Tonight Show, use to watch it nightly
(I watch it in reruns on MeTV or MyTV or some old show network)
it was OK with Jay Leno, I still laughed, just not like with Johnny

Same deal with David Letterman, his shtick & mannerisms, stunts
made me laugh, all until he seriously went way off the rails politically
it wasn't even funny anymore

Both shows sucks now, Late Show & Tonight Show
just like all the late night so called comedy/talk shows
they aren't even funny anymore, they completely suck

Saturday Night Live same thing,
unwatchable now, for at least a decade
it's not even funny, it's just stupid millennial satire
& shitty music guests now too

it's truly sad, use to have a few great comedy shows
people didn't get offended by everything & now it's a real rarity today

every thing is reality TV or a truly crappy premise & bad comedy

:soapbox: I'm done, got that off my chest :p

first id like to say TY,because some of those shows ive never heard of.

if you guys like mind twisters, then check this tv show out.
they made 2 versions, one in the us and one in the uk.
the american version is my favorite.
it Was being shown on Netflix,im not sure where it is now.

Life on Mars

this is another one of those shows that keeps you riveted and waiting for the next episode.

No one has mentioned House of cards, ( usa version) I love it, Kevin Spacey loose his mind and career over this series, but, he performed a wonderful characterization as Frank Underwood, although you know Frank is as bad as the pork meat, you want to Frank to get away with it, all season were great except the last one.
