Dangling a toddler outside the window is WRONG! Who knew? Note that the family originally sued Royal Caribbean for this twit's stupidity

The grandfather of a toddler who fell to her death from a cruise ship in Puerto Rico is pleading guilty in her death. The child died after she fell from an open window while being lifted up by her grandfather. "I took a plea deal today to try to help end part of this nightmare for my family, if possible," he said. The family of the girl filed suit in December against Royal Caribbean Cruises, alleging that the company was at fault for the accident.

He didn't count on the cruise line having video of what occured but once they showed that he "knew" the window was open it pretty much ended his claim. Now he has to deal with the family.

Another case where the national news sure seemed biased against the "big business" and towards the stupid grandfather at the time, buying his excuse that he didn't know the window was open. It's very difficult for me to feel pity for the guy.
Our news agencies these days are a disgrace, a real lack of common sense and too much "Entertainment Tonight".

Don't bother looking over at CNN for the video of that guy sticking his head out that open window before dropping his granddaughter. It's not there. No doubt he did not do that on purpose but also no doubt the cruise line is not to blame.

He only gets probation for his deed. Yes he was stupid but I hardly think he did anything to that child on purpose. He now had to live with himself. Punishment enough in my book

as he should have done, guilty as charged
what the courts can or will do
is nothing compared to his conscience or his family

I feel for everyone involved. I wouldn't want to live with that for the rest of life, no matter who did what. Sad!

WTF is a kid that age doing on a cruise. Moron grandpa. Media is trying to exonerate him.

His life is over. Some moment, everyday, he will think of her and what happened. What more punishment can the state give him. I have no idea how he could have let this happen, if it were a senior moment or a distraction, or ? If you have a grandchild or child just imagine for a second. Every time he sees anyone who knows what happened, he is guilty again. There is nothing left for this poor bastard.
