1967 Plymouth Rear tire Size

I have a 66 coronet deluxe and went with J 60 15 M&H d.o.t.,, Coker tire recommends a 7" rim.No issues with rubbing....google these for exact specs.I did not want to be tearing up my black car or modify factory lip....This is an often overlooked size..There is a blue 1966 dodge coronet deluxe hemi that was bought new at Mr Norms plastered all over the internet..that is where i learned about this tire....2cents Rob

That is a great tire, but if it is the one i found at summit, be aware that it is a bias, wrinkle wall, basically a drag slick with tread and a dot.

Thanks Rob for the great info....

I am perplexed about how tire sizes are named. I know we both share the small wheel housing in the rear. I was going to paint the rims the same body color with the smallest dog dish caps that are available. I am not as familiar to Mopar cars as I would like too be. Will these tires be good with a 426 up front with 600 pony's? I am 75 so I will not be smoking them very often. Does your tires pretty much fill up the wheel well cavity?

I like that black on black.... I assume your car is a sleeper type car. This is my goal too.

Your two cents is priceless to me. :)

I am not looking to race my car but this may be the ticket for not burning up my tires with my hemi. A better Hookup. Tire flexing is cool.

My thoughts were if they were good enough for the hemi car that was restored they would be a ok with my 440 powered car that is used on the street lightly and a few times to the track on Friday nights..275 60 15 rubbed on corners, these do not and being that they are basically a drag tire i could have zero rubbing..they are the largest street type slick that would work for me....i wanted no issues with my body being damaged..........my car sits level, the hemi has more rake..here is a picture of the hemi with the J 60 15

Passon built A833,8 3/4 ,3.55 gear,posi,dutchman axles.

Kept a small bottle jack in trunk to jack spring down. Wide tires don't fit between wheel opening and brake drum. Satellite trim on wheel opening makes it worse, you don't want to f it up.
I have 225/70/15 cobras on 7" rim. Have to let air out to clear brake drum/fenderwell lip. I think each individual car has different clearance from side to side.
