actually mine developed a knock that got worse' replaced the piston on the cyl that plug shot out and knock went away.

I've never used Champion plugs in a Mopar since 1967. Three bad tastes early on. The dealership I bought my 67 383 Satellite from replaced the original plugs with Champion at 1500 miles under warranty. With less than 10K miles I was on the 4th set of Champions when one of the mechanics said let's try Autolite plugs. After that change I averaged 20-25 thousand miles between plug changes. Autolite may not be the best plug today, but I don't use a Champion in anything.
The plug in the OP's picture is about the only thing I haven't seen a Champion plug do. Now I have.

Did it lose everything outward

I would think the strap on the plug shouldn't have allowed anything to enter the cylinder. Maybe a small piece of porcelain at the most. Look around in the engine compartment and on the frame for the porcelain.

I had one do that years ago because of detonation. That was the only incident I'd seen before or after.

Had this happen last spring on my boat with ot bbc. The plug wire was still connected to the center of the plug( Champion) laying on the floor of the engine bay with the plug wire end on fire , threaded metal section of plug still threaded in the block .Fire is NOT good on a boat in the middle of the bay. Plugs were fresh , first run of the spring.

Once again, seems like quality issues with everything these days.

Yea now worrying about what plug to put in it next time engine 440 .30over kB pistons forged balance line hone xe274h cam stainless valves hard seats alum intake 850 carb performance ignition decked ported plug recommendations welcomed 10.5 to 1 Comp 67 915 heads

10.5 : 1 is pretty high for iron heads...
A similar setup with a Summit cam proved impossible to get rid of predetonation after is was run a bit.
Hopefully with your cam there is enough overlap to help.
Best of luck.

Thanks for input always good to get quality help but was considering a NGK if could find out from one of the guys which one is right the one that blew out was r12yc champion! Or a Ry12c can’t remember right now
