69 Super Bee Rebuild (my way)

I like the 275's for sure. Do they look overly "bloated" by being on a 10" wheel? Looks good in the picture. Agree with the width of 295's but if they were only as tall as the 275's it would be perfect. The '68 and up B-bodies need a taller rear tire. Of course they make a 295/60/15 but only in drag radials.

For the rear stripe I vote black, it will match the interior.

WHITE.. or you'll kick yourself later!!! LOL

Take some white paper and lay it across the back and then black. Grab some beer and stare at it for awhile...

I like the taller, skinnier look of the 70's up front. I still want to lay down an R/T rump stripe on mine; probably going with a matte black.
BTW, can't get enough of your paint job.

I don't think it looks terrible. I know it is not the ideal setup, but a couple of guys by me are running 275's on a 10" rim, so I figured I would try it out since I now have a changer in my garage. Took some measurements of the combos.
275/60 on a 8" rim 27 5/8" x 10 7/8".
275/60 on a 10" rim 27 5/8" x 11 15/16".
295/50 on a 8" rim 26 5/8" x 11 1/2".
295/50 on a 10" rim 26 9/16" x 12 3/8".
225/70 on a 7" rim 27 3/16" x 9 1/8".

I think with your black vinyl top a black stripe is a must. That would be an easy decision for me. I like the idea of a matte stripe, actually I was thinking the same thing.

That is exactly what I am going to do. I ask everybody their opinion and the tally is exactly half white and half black, with 2 people saying it looks great as is with no stripe.

Black stripe with or without a vinyl top looks good but I'm biased.

You give up an inch in height going from 275 to 295. But dig that contact patch on the 10" rim; that's what I'm talking about!

Was missing some black plastic hinge washers for the seat backs. As far as I could determine, they are not reproduced. Luckily dadsbee had some that were close enough. The snail mail envelope from Canada showed up today and I got them put together and in the car. That also allowed me to get my driveshaft loop bolted in.

Drive shaft loop! Someone going racing. So the loop uses the seat bolts? What brand?

I will be waiting for a timeslip! I'm guessing 11.7 1/4 7.6 1/8

Don't think I will be racing, but do have a tendency to dump the clutch every now and again. I like the peace of mind from having a loop. I just buy the cheap universal ones from Jegs or Summit for $20-$25 and then cut them up, and weld them together to custum fit my car. I put them in all my cars, and yes to 2 of the seat studs.

Well, as of last night I am calling the underside about done. Very good feeling to finally be at this point.

Haven't tried to start it yet. Figure I better get some insurance on it first. You know how our luck goes, anything could happen lol. The bung is for an O2 sensor.
