Pressed the bolt into the bushing (new) it’s not tight...can turn the bolt in the bushing by hand. The bushing is installed in the control arm. Do I need to replace the bushing? Bolt? Thanks

Let me guess you purchased Moog bushings? And yes you should replace it the reason I guessed Moog is they have a run of bushings out there that the id of the inner sleeve is to big. I recommend proforged as the Moog stuff is junk made all
over the planet except USA.

The bolt?? You mean the "pin" right? And on there is a metal "sleeve" in the bushing that the pin goes into, right? So the pin turns in the sleeve or the sleeve turns in the bushing?

Of course would be important to know which type bushing were working on here. OEM rubber or poly?

Yes Moog....ugh. Hate the thought of doing it again.

Yes, the pin and the metal sleeve in the bushing. The pin turns in the metal sleeve.

Guess I’ll see if I can find a pair of proforged. Thanks for the comments.

I’ve just been through this crap tried two pair of Moog bushings both were made in India complete junk!on one pair the pin would just fall in and the other pair one of the inner sleeves was pressed in way off center.

Damn, thanks for the info. Moog used to be about the best. I hate to hear this. I have bought several complete front end rebuild kits from PST with no problems, but have always used Moog for individual parts and pieces.

This is an epidemic. I had the same issue with Moog lower arm bushings last year.

As a follow up....purchased the Proforged LCA bushings from Summit.

Installed with no problem at all, good fit....bushing appeared to be better made than the Moog even though it was stamped made in Tiawan.

they are a good product and as bad is I hate to say it US has pushed enough money into Taiwan
manufacturing that there’s some good stuff coming from there now days. Way better than India!

Ordered the proforged will post back results.
Can you buy directly from Proforged? Their website does not show any pricing or order info.

I just noticed that Rockauto sell Proforged chassis parts. So that direction I will go...
