Want to paint my 1967 GTX.

I appreciate any leads.

Canada is a big country, you're going to have to be a little more specific.

I know one place in Vancouver but they're booking a year or so in advance.
Another place in Ontario probably won't even take the job because they're so busy.
Get used to that. You'll be turned away from the really good places so be patient. If a shop accepts your job right away, be wary. Ask to see their portfolio and go for a tour of the shop.

Most won't touch it if they didn't do the body work...

Canada?, how far you want to haul that thing and how much you want to spend? Mine was "painted" labour wise for free by the shop owner and probably should have been after the 1100 hours his guys clocked on metal and body work! Paint, Klear and their required supplies were almost $6000 alone.

Once you tell us where you are I'm sure we can help a tad better. I have a high school (from some 40+ years ago) buddy down in Smiths Falls that certainly knows how to run a gun if you indeed just want paint. He's been doing body and paint since he was 13/14 years old. We're both 58 now.

Wayne, would you mind sending me a PM with his number? I'd like the 64 repainted and can't find anyone to do it. Smith's Falls is only a few hours from here.

No regular shops would touch mine, too much money in collision work. I saw alot of cars in "paint jail" in my travels... I ended up vinyl wrapping mine, I wanted to drive it not wait 2-3 years...

Knowing the Province your in might be able to zero down a painter for you.

Car is in Portland Oregon.. and will drive it anywhere in the U.S. if the painter does great work at a fair price. Open to any place except Hawaii and Alaska.. lol.

There are great shops and painters in B.C. i am sure, definitely in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The 1of 1 1970 Hemi Road Runner convertible that got the top award at the MCAN (sp) show was done in Alberta.

Yet you list Canada as your location... guess we all wasted some time there. LOL Well except for maybe Glenwood... if my buddy will paint his car!

Yes.. sorry about not being more comprehensive. Will drive the car from Oregon to a highly recommended painter.
Could use a good road trip.

Are you going to have the car done in the USA? Also appears that you want to have everything taken apart by the body shop, painted and reassembled.
Engine detailed?
If you supply a list of your goals, that would clarify things a lot more. Trying to help.
I am working on my car now.
Two guys work together. Body man did work in his shop, painter in his shop. Still at the paint shop.

How about listing your location as where you are really located! It would help...

Wow. Deep pockets required if your looking for a total restoration start to finish. You know what everybody says. Cheaper to buy one completed. Yes I know this way you know what you have. Well if your hiring out you should really be in the vicinity to check up on things once in a while. I heard a few nightmare stories of guys leaving a big start up deposit and being burnt. Just saying. I was lucky to find my man, even though we are on the third year.
Dam fast money for collision work!! Ties all the body guys up.

Good luck

I finally put mine in a trailer, and drove it shop to shop, 1/2 wouldn't even come out to look at it, just say 10-15,000. AND I would have it stripped in primer. I would of painted it myself if I could find a booth. Isocyanates are nothing to play with

Hope you find a good one!

Its a shame your so far away Id paint it for ya But I am in PA. I could even give phone numbers for references.

Hello X MAN JR.
I have to go east with the car anyways, can easily roll into Pennsylvania. Are you a painter?
