Thanks for the add, bought me a 1968 GTX last year with a big problem! It was a 4X4 but it’s on its way back.

Welcome from Alabama, I thought I had the only one that had been made into a 4X4. I have a 67 Satellite that was sitting on a Ford F-250 chassis when I found it. The body is now off the chassis and the body is on a lift.

You can see it in the background.

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal - interesting way to try and destroy a beautiful X

Hi there GTXrunner68, :welcome:

Thanks for taking the time and effort to save that poor GTX from its ignominious past!
I'm looking forward to seeing your progress.

Welcome from NY.
I thought it looked cool ASA a 4x4.
Looks like you're doing a great job on it.

Welcome from Connecticut. I am a new member as well. A very welcoming group. Good luck with your restoration. Saved that X big time.

Welcome from Missouri!! Thank you for saving it's life!! That's something you do to a Yugo, not a GTX.

Luckily mine wasn’t on a frame, they had just added like 500 lbs of 3/8 angle iron in the front! They also just added leafs to the original springs! Oh ya! Lots of bugger welds!!
