My kid was shopping in Winnipeg today and sent me a text saying the price a liter of gas (regular)at the Costco gas station was down to 74•9cents pity it wouldn't stay like that.

The math is really quite easy.
It works out to approximately $3/gal.

57.9/l (44.9 with status card) on the reserve down by Peterborough yesterday. Not even as low as it should be yet, that's still about $2.40US/US gallon with a status card! Yet they're paying $2 or so in the USA.

$3.40 Can $/ Can gal
$2.83 Can $/ Us gal
$2.05 Us $/Us gal.
I sure wish I was paying that!

One place around here 87 octane $1.749 and I bought diesel $2.009 that's gallons.

Up here we had no choice in the conversion. But that being said. I can fill up my car. But by the time I actually get to drive it. The prices will be back up again.

It's easy to work out....One quart is roughly one Litre...give or take a bit of spillage.

So yeah....our price of diesel has plummeted from around NZ$1.50 to NZ$1.38 per litre.......or for you non-metric members who don't speak the Queen's English, that's about US$0.83 per Quart we are paying for diesel now.

Now, I won't complete the equation....it's too difficult. Besides, your gallons are smaller than ours.
