Just got some stuff delivered from DMT for my 63 Sport Fury. I can't see how the hood to radiator seal is supposed to be installed. Any pics or instructions?

Thanks!

The hood should have pre-drilled holes in it and the seal should come with retainers. You punch holes in the seal at the proper spacing and push them into the holes. The retainers go in the short lip.

This is the best picture I could find, but I think you get the idea.

Do you have the one that attaches to the core support?

It looks like the one in that picture. Not the large one in the previous post. It's the thinner one that DMT sells for small blocks.

The one in the photo I sent is the wide one that attaches to the core support.

The one you described is the narrow one https://www.detroitmuscletechnologi...y-narrow-hood-to-radiator-seal-with-ss-clips/. On the wide one I drilled holes on top of the core support to match the punched holes in the seal. Use the clips to fasten. Others may post responses.

Good question...my 64 (picture) didn’t have one I installed it.

I’m working on a 65 Satellite right now that came with one.

The 64 was originally had a 361 engine. The Satellite has a 383.

Not too excited about drilling holes......Looks like i just center the notch in the seal with the hood latch and mark the holes on either side?

Oops! Post #2 was related to a '69 B Body. Guess I should have read post #1 better. Sorry for the confusion.
