:( Starting to hear a tick coming from left side exhaust. Engine only has about 4000 mi since rebuild.
 
Sometimes a leaking manifold or header gasket can make a sound like that. You might consider tightening the mounting bolts or nuts.
 
I had to re-tighten exhaust manifold bolts and flange bolts a couple of times after the rebuild of my motor. For some reason, the left side was worse than the right (maybe since it was easier to hear from the driver seat).
 
Exhaust manifold bolts are tight. The tic sound is more pronounced from the tailpipe on that side.
 
Only a "tick"? If you heard a "tock" immediately afterward, well, that would be your clock.
