Exhaust leak? Sounds a lot like a lifter, sorta...

I had to re-tighten exhaust manifold bolts and flange bolts a couple of times after the rebuild of my motor. For some reason, the left side was worse than the right (maybe since it was easier to hear from the driver seat).

Exhaust manifold bolts are tight. The tic sound is more pronounced from the tailpipe on that side.

Only a "tick"? If you heard a "tock" immediately afterward, well, that would be your clock.

Ok guys, ticking! Shade tree guys from the old days, is it lifter,rocker or valve?
