Converting Dodge Coronet to Charger

i ll go with the post above. you are opening a can of worms which will doubles your money and a lot of ugly words

Shorty,
Just do the Coronet. Great car to do. You really don't want to get into changing sheet metal, welding, and cost of parts. Watch some of the TV shows for a better idea. aka. Graveyard cars, Kindig, and others. A lot of $$, time, work. You will have your hands full doing the Coronet.

If you want toy drive that bastard legally, you will have to find a TÜV-Prüfer that will not know the difference between a Charger and a Coronet when checking the VIN. Which is near impossible in my opinion.

First thing I'd check is a wheelbase comparison. AMD metal is bad enough on the correct car, let alone on something like this! I think you'd be time and money ahead to sell the Coronet and buy a charger.
Just do a price list comparison. Add up all the sheetmetal you'll have to buy, plus grille, tail lights, glass, bumpers on & on. Then compare that to selling your car and buying a Charger. Plus probably 3 years of your time.

The wheel base is the same on Chargers and Coronets. Plymouth B bodies are an inch shorter than Dodge B bodies, but this is easily changed by swapping out the front leaf spring mounting brackets.
