After all, this is a car forum but here lately, it's more about politics and viruses.... :( and it's getting pretty depressing. I know we need to take precautions etc but can we quit talking so much about this stuff? It's bad enough to go to the grocery store and see all the hoarding morons and then get on the site and read about more depressive stuff let alone seeing members throwing barbs at each other.

I'm working on building a new shop but rain keeps delaying us. I will be posting car stuff again when I get done with that and moved in

I agree, cars, women, enlarged prostate ..well maybe not the last one but something that warms up. Today I ordered a radiator, starter relay, sound deadening, rear springs, and a tach for the Charger. I figure we're not going to a movie or out to eat this month, so hell I'll blow it on the car. Sold two bucket seats this weekend for $500 so I'm almost even. Hell yeah.

I installed new drivers side glass in the charger to replace the one that exploded last week.
 
You’re right.
I’m as guilty as anyone. I think it’s because right now we are all trapped indoors with nothing to occupy our minds and time with. I know that for me personally once the weather gets better and I can actually accomplish something you will see much less of me here, or online in general.
But as grim as it may seem to some here, this site is still the best, most helpful, generally courteous site that I’m part of. The mods do a great job at a thankless task, herding us cats and trolls.
I belong to one Canadian gun site that is the biggest in this country. It’s pretty much only good for buying or selling because all of the discussion boards are dominated by about five guys. If you don’t submit to them and their opinions they make your life hell. I don’t get that here.

what is there, like 20 now ?
many are wrong or bad information or some conspiracy stuff
or too many anti American rhetoric etc., that turns into arguments
(the same select few members, usually doing most of it)

does someone know a Moderator here ? :poke:
maybe they should all be consolidated ?
maybe a mod. or admin. could do that ?

most all of them turn political too, yet still in the GD forum

Just re-sealed the wind shield on the Charger. Next up, convert the rear brakes from drum to power disc. Then install new whiskers and felt on the door glass.....

Yes! We have discussed all that. I can't help but hope the threads stay away from politics but they don't. Then it is our job to clean them up by deleting posts (and quotes) which always pisses off the crowd. If you merge them all it will be a mess. I vote for moving them all to the political forum and you all can have at it. It keeps it all out of the general discussion forums. Hell if you do, Hell if you don't.

I'm glad you said it. Being fairly new to getting involved on this site, I've been depressed/distressed to see a lot of the subject matter, especially in the last week. I joined for the purpose of gaining Mopar knowledge, and maybe, just maybe, in my 43 years of owning Chrysler products, I've experienced and solved a problem that I could pass on. So far, I'm still learning.

Lately, I'm tired of hearing about the virus. I get emails from my bank, real estate broker all the way to my oil change shop, explaining to me what they are doing to combat Corona. Give it a rest!

I understand it's free speech, and if I don't like it, I can merely not read it. That's what I've been doing. I would rather see this turn back into a "For B Bodies Only" site, as the name implies, instead of tuning FBBO out.

Well then, you should stop starting topics about the dam flu, as well as feeding the fire in other topics on it and start doing your job as a Moderator! I don't think that's to hard to do, do you?
