TV series worth watching...

I was looking for this thread just a few minutes ago !
AMC has been promoting their new Walking Dead spinoff....The world beyond.
It is more of the same bullshit theme that new shows are adopting. Women in strong-alpha type roles with limp wristed, wimpy boyish males in the background.
Screw that...I hope that it fails miserably.

first id like to say TY,because some of those shows ive never heard of.

if you guys like mind twisters, then check this tv show out.
they made 2 versions, one in the us and one in the uk.
the american version is my favorite.
it Was being shown on Netflix,im not sure where it is now.

Life on Mars

this is another one of those shows that keeps you riveted and waiting for the next episode.

Life on Mars was freakin awesome! The ending will blow your mind. Very well done.
And Longmire. If all American TV was that good and original I’d actually like American TV. And before the trolls jump in and slag Canada, I mean NORTH American. Calm the **** down.

Well, I finally found one that's worth the watch, in spades.
It's on Acorn TV which is British TV. It's called " In the Line of Duty". It's set in Northern Ireland and it's a police drama involving the cases of a Anticorruption squad. AC-12. Think Internal affairs. It is the best police show since Hill Street Blues, hands down. I'm talking edge of your damn seat nail biting thrillers, cant get the next episode up on the screen fast enough.
Not a bad thing to say about it except it took a full season to get the hang of the accents so we could understand everything! Used the closed captioning for awhile. Just finished Season 3 and it was "shouting at the TV" good, right up to the last freaking minute! Wow what a show. I cant recommend it enough. Try it!
I'll have to watch it with the captions on.

You think so?
I enjoyed the show but it seemed to me that once they got the order to cancel, they rushed an ending together that wasn't in keeping with the rest of the episodes.

Ozarks on Netflix. Season 3 out this month.

I caught an episode of "Roswell New Mexico" this past week because nothing else was on.

Interesting plot involving the descendants of the aliens that crashed in 1947.

They have interesting abilities like being able to have fluid virtual multi-party visits with unconscious people and travel back in time while doing so. They also have some interesting generational contexts- one main character discovered that she is the great great grand niece of another main character despite being of similar apparent age.

It also stars the "Liberty Buchimo/Liberty Biberty" guy and he's not bad.

Kind of has a Charmed meets the X Files feel to it.

I'll watch it again.

Always liked Warren Oats.
Underrated actor in my humble opinion.

A friend's brother used to work in Hollyweird before his job was outsourced and became friends with Oates.
Went to Oates' trailer one day and Oates pointed to a trash bag and said, "Roll one up" or something to that effect. The bag was full of pot.

Warren was quite underrated but that might be a reason why he was underworked. It may also explain why he had COPD.

Yellowstone.....very good!

If your looking for something really funny and Irish check out Mrs Brown's Boys

STARGATE SG1 is on the playlist right now. Finished watching Seasons 1 & 2, and halfway through Season 3,
Love the fact that most every planet looks remarkably like British Columbia in Canada.

Lots of good entertainment in the series. Not as scary as I remember it when it first aired, but highly enjoyable all the same.

This is funny ....8:15 onwards.... (an episode involving loopers - like Groundhog Day...

I started watching that because nothing else was on on Saturdays.

Involved, if you follow everything.

Took a while to build my interest.

Movie was a great story.
