I have Hagerty for 2 years. No complaints just feel Im over paying. I remember some of you guys use a company that was just as good and less inexpensive. Who are you using? thanks Dave

Hagerty for about ten years. A couple of years ago I compared several but Hagerty was in the ball park. The agent is just as important and he gave me a discount for Club Mass Marketing, paid the year in full and multiple vehicles. Plus my agent hosts at an existing car show. He will pay your entrance fee and buy you lunch. You also get to park in a special area.

I use Hagerty for 2 Plymouth's and my regular Auto Owners for my 65 Coronet (with declared value).

had hagerty
insurance broker lost my agent, replaced her with a dimwit.
state farm since. a little less in cost on the coronet, way less on everything else

I’ve had American Collectors for years. And I had a claim. I was doing my LS engine swap in my 67 Camaro ..... hood on roof of car sitting on slippery blanket. late at night needed some measurements for transmission crossmember. Jacked one side up, hood slid off crushed both corners first then came back and hit the car. Door and 1/4 damaged too. Called insurance told them what I did. They said no problem the adjuster will call. Ended up with a good settlement and a new paint job.

I have Hagerty. I have so many cars insured with them when I add another it's like $25 more. BTW go to the Hagerty site and click entertainment then all articles and videos. They have great content and upload new every couple of days.

Free motortrend on demand with hagerty, too.

JC Taylor... no complaints. After my 49 Chrysler was wrecked in Sandy, the check was in my account 48 hours later. Guy even called to check up on me a few days later. Can't say enough about them.

State farm on my home and daily drivers. Grundy on my classic cars. They were slightly less expensive than Hagerty without all the limitations to just cruise nights, parades and car shows.

I did not think this was correct so I went onto Hagerty side and cut and paste their answer to this question.

Simply put, we want you to enjoy your classic vehicle. While there are some restrictions in the policy, you’re covered for pleasure use, whether it's a drive on a gorgeous summer day, a trip to the ice cream shop, attending club events or going to shows. If you have specific questions about usage, especially if you own a newer vehicle (generally 1990 and newer), we're happy to discuss them with you.

Exactly , I can drive my cars anywhere I want with Hagerty.... Atlanta Georgia to Alexander City Alabama and onto Talladega included. I pay $2000 Canadian Pesco's per year for complete agreed value coverage on my two cars, covered for a total of $300,000.

Hagerty is the King **** of classic insurers. No question about it. They do a great job BUT there are many many other insurers that do a great job as well. Maybe for a little less coin. I’ve had Grundy and Condon and Skelly. Both great companies. Policies don’t vary dramatically. Shop around you’ll see. I’ve been in Insurance for 35 years - retired. Don’t be concerned you’re not going to get a good policy with these other carriers.
