In the early 90's, when I was building my first 66, they really were not in the Mopar mags too often

When deciding on paint, a black 66 with white scallops was in one of Mopar magazines. It really inspired me that these cars are awesome, and I almost did that paint scheme, but decided it was out of my dad and I ability

I haven't seen it since? Anyone know what I'm talking about, or Maybe the owner is here??

Never saw one like this hot wheels car on the street, but I kinda thought it would look good .
Scallops ?
Got a pic of this pattern on a different car ?

I couldn't find anything. Imagine a black car, with ocean waves with points, rolled back a bit, about 3/8 the way up the car all the way across

I remember fish scale paint jobs on the customs, lace painting, that sort of thing.
Applied one way you had fish scales, turn it 90 degrees and you had scallops.

Here's a couple of not so subtle examples, one with Fish Scales and another with a Lace job similar to a scallop.
Not sure if this was the kind of thing you were asking about.

Maybe scallop isn't the right word, more like ocean waves that went half up the car, all the way across. Car was black, and waves were white
