I use a program called Discord when I play games online. Its a pretty full featured voice chat software. You can post pictures,links,talk crap and generally it would be a good way to get information fairly quick. Not trying to replace anything here. Just thought it would be a cool way for people in this forum to chat and talk shop about various mopar stuff. There is no cost and no private information is used.. Hell I use my gamer name as my user name.

I have created a discord server here. https://discord.gg/dK4rX6 I made several channels in the server so that it pretty much reflects this website. I would not suggest buying and selling parts and whatnot but just use it to talk to some of the guys you know and get along with.

This is what the server looks like. Think of this as a new way to avoid breathing someone else's corona air....

I've never been on but I hear good things about it
 
I use it when playing ARMA3 with teammates it really helps to have the communication during a battle. Sure beats the hell out of typing in the built in game chat window. Hell, I'd die while trying to hunt and peck.
 
I could see a member getting upset and freaking out on another member. Just saying,I think it would be cool until it gos south.
 
The PM system is OK for Me. -- If necessary, You can switch email info, and phone numbers.

Well, like I said you can mute the offended person and ignore all crap posted or said by them.. There is always somebody going to be butthurt about something someone says.. But hell its a free country and you have the right to MUTE the **** out of them. lol

this forum usually runs pretty quick.
another forum i frequent, slowed to nonexistent.
they opened a discord page/forum/place, to bs when the main site slows down

I respect that, however the server is already up and running. Like I said its just another way of communication. It wont replace anything its just a place to talk crap.

The problem is -- it never stays that way.

There is a big big difference between sites like this one and sites that are live chat, or facebook or anything like that.

See, 3 years from now when someone searches google for a problem their having, they'll find our site... This is because forums like this keep the information available publically. Facebook, by in large, does not. And live chat, does not.

To me, its important to have the information publicly available for the next guy looking to work on his car, or his dad's car, or his grand dads car.

All that said - I don't like live chat services - for the above and other reasons as well.
 
There are text based chats as well as voice chats. And anything posted is there unless the person has deleted it. Not trying to sell anyone on this. Just thought it would be a way to chit chat.
