I was replacing the bushing on my lower control arm. The bushing I bought seem to be a bit too small so I Dremel out the inside but it would still not fit onto the bar so I had to hammer it in but ruined the bolt in doing so. Where can I find the same bolt. It’s fine thread 5/8 and home depot does not have a bolt with that fine of threads.

HD stinks for bolts.

Try a good hardware store or a industrial supply.

Try ACE.

I know they have 1/2 inch fine thread.

That my friend is a nut. Get a good quality one from an industrial supplier. Some nuts are as soft as cheese.

Next time start the nut & use a punch on the end of the shaft(inside the nut using the nut as a guide)..
I replaced all mine from Fastenal. The bolts for the lower balljoing to spindle have the same thread nuts but the ones from Fastenal are a "grip"-co style like the originals...
