For sale is an: 1971 340 magnum.
Motor is partially built. Machine work is complete with a .30 over bore and all other machining. Installed is a SCAT 4’ crank and bearings installed(new)
Brass freeze plugs install, cam bearing installed; comes with NIB KB hypereutectic pistons, SCAT Rods with bearings, ring set, engine gasket set, oil p/u extension, I also have the original cast iron 4 bbl manifold and the “j” stock iron heads.. the pistons for this build were to be used with aluminum heads. The iron stock one can be used if the dome on the pistons is machines off. I was following a build guide which Would displace 408 ci’s of 416 ci’s depending on how you complete the build. The guide I was following is included ( How to build BIG cubic inches from small block MOPAR) I think is the name of the guide I was following. It is truly an awesome guide for those who may want to to a future small block.

Can you supply the block sequence number

Not at this time. Is there a reason why you are asking for that I’m just curious.
Are you looking to date code a motor for a car. Or are you collecting numbers? It has Ben so long I have forgotten where to look on the block. Anyhow.

Yes i am looking for a possible date code or number match to the 71 i have, not to mention (no suggestion against you) to make sure the engine it is not on a stolen list. I do not want to buy a motor for that or any price and then find out i received stolen property. I am sure you would not have any rejection to that reasoning would you? NO by all means i am not a numbers collector! There are plenty of others out there doing that, i am not one of them!

Sequence # has nothing to do with date coding a motor for a car but that is here nor there- sequence number is/ 150286
1 of 307 built and 35-40 known to exist and the only 340 super bee in the registry as an international export car. Well I hope the sequence number helps you and if you’re interested in buying the motor let me know was being built out to a 416

I offered it for pennies and no one bought it, after tallying what I have into it: New rotating system, block, all machine work& balancing $2000 is still low. I am not a thief or a crumb but I know people who are. I am entitled to change my asking price anytime I want- unless I am wrong on this?

According to contract law your $1600 price stands unless you close the sale thread. You can then open a new thread with all the information and a new price.

No one called you a thief. Just un ethical seller. When you advertise a price that is what you should sell it for. Jack up the price because someone is ready to buy is Bull$hit. Keep your $hit as I dont need it. That is a Dushbag Move. GLWS

You used “$1600” as bait and then switched the price when he got there and never notified him or adjusted the thread before hand.

You look bad.... just sayin....
