I am considering giving in and buying a welder. I am thinking of going with this welder over a Hobart handler 210 MIG due to the improved aluminum capability and over a premium brand TIG due price point:

It appears to be USA design, Chinese build with pretty good reviews.

Does anyone have experience with it?

I don't know anything about that welder. I did not see a link to instructions or specs to see how it is rated?
It is stick/TIG, no MIG welding. If it is all they claim, not too bad for the price.
It would be nice if you could try it before buying it, or do they have a decent return policy if it dosen't work well?

A few years back, I bought a cheap Multi-process MIG, Stick, DC TIG machine, and the MIG works good, but the TIG foot controller was really cheap and did not provide very good control. I really bought that machine just for MIG welding anyway because I have a really nice Miller Dynasty Ac/DC Tig (or stick) machine, but the cost of the Miller is way more expensive so you should expect it to have higher quality accessories.

You might also have a look at Everlast welders. Yes, they're made in China - as are most welders in that price range - but they have a quality process that is overseen by North Americans.

A similar comparable welder - made in the USA (maybe) - from Miller or Lincoln will be three times the price of the one you're looking at.
