Uncle Tony Finds a 1963 Max Wedge

Cool stuff, not everyday you run across a factory race car from any manufacturer especially a Mopar! 440'

Very cool video but it almost makes me want to cry seeing that car left in that condition. Sadly I believe he'll never finish it. Hope i'm wrong.

Factory race cars had aluminum front ends. Anybody could purchase a max wedge car and drive it on the street. I had one in high school in 1969. The Alum. equipped cars came with disclaimer stickers on windshields and glove boxes. I owned one them also.

I'm surprised that car had radio and heater.

You could order them with radio and heaters. All were not post cars either. You could order the MW package on any one of the BBody Plymouth or Dodge models.

Isn't the same "max wedge car" that was "found" by everyone's favorite goober "Uncle Tony"....which was discussed ad infinitum about 4 months ago? Or is this a different max wedge car and a different "Uncle Tony"?
Inquiring minds want to know....

Seems there was another thread on this. Remember being horrified seeing it on the ground like this. Damn, let a car sit like this in the dirt even for a few months adds years of rusting. I parked my 1st restoration car at my father-in-laws next to his pole building for about 10 months as at the time I had no extra space for it...what a mistake. Took so much blasting on the underside thought I was going to run out of metal. New trunk pan, new quarters, wells, etc, etc.
