Is there any differences in a Big block 22 in radiator vs a Small block 22 in radiator? Are hose sizes the same or where hoses go on are they smaller on a small block and bigger on big block. I have a 67 Belvedere with 383 and 22 inch radiator that I need a radiator for and I was wondering if a small block radiator from 67 would work. Thanks to all.

I have 22" rads for both a 67 B 318 and a 383 2-bbl. I'll post some pics when I get home. Pretty sure inlets/outlets are reversed.

I stated the difference right in your original thread. The lower inlet spigget is smaller on the SB -965 radiator. I ran one (a '67 SB - 965) in my BB Bee for 30 years and in and out are clocked exactly like the correct BB radiator for my '69. That's the only thing I don't know is the OE clocking for a '67 BB.

Entire thing is same except lower hose connection is 1.5” on SB And 1.75” on BB.

You can use a brand new lower hose for BB and clamp it on the smaller SB rad and it will work. I did it like this for 2 years and it worked fine.

Here is the 22" in my 318 Belv. p/n 2785 965. Upper connection is just to the driver's of center. Bottom on driver's side.

Here is a 22" out of a 67 383 2-bbl Satellite, p/n 2785 960 - hard to see on the part, but can definitely make out the 60. Upper connection on pass. side, lower on driver's side.

Thanks for the info. I read this before the other post.I was sure bb was 1.75 in and sb was 1.5 but wanted to make sure. Ill keep looking for one.I cant believe it costs 500 to 550 to recore one. OER has them new for 450ish. thanks.

If you end up just wanting a 965, as I noted I have a good one in my spares that I may be willing to sell for the right price.
