Custom Vinyl Roof

Has anyone had any success of cutting and creating their own vinyl roof instead of using professionally pre-made ones? Or maybe if anyone has pictures of their ride.

Specifically I’d like to add a white vinyl roof to a car however I really enjoy the various “Mod Top” and “Paisley” designs offered on some 69-71 Chrysler products but AFAIK I don’t think any of designs ever came in white or champagne colors. I’m looking to make a very very subtle pattern. Or maybe just a white roof with a raised pattern like In the second photo.

What are some options? I know back in the day dying or lacing vinyl tops use to be a thing but I’m not so sure nowadays.

Man, I have been wondering the same thing. I would love a mod pattern of some kind. Does not seem like much available in my research.

I have a lot of free time during the quarantine. I am finding new ways to spend money. This is the best that I have come up with. Hope it helps.

Blade runner I love the various mod top designs but I know adding a mod top to a car that originally didn’t have one available as an option (my 67 Satellite) would cause some of the purists to have a heart attack. I’m trying to find some kind of top to break apart the paint on my car. It think it has alittle “Too” much purple

Someone was telling me of a “vinyl wrap” that they saw at a car show on a 69 Satellite once. Said it looked like the real deal until you got about within 15 feet. I know how a normal wrap works but not sure I’ve ever seen a vinyl wrap. Will have to investigate
