I went to Wendys today. While waiting for my food at the drive up a employee walked by on her phone. She was telling someone that she had worked with someone 3 days the last week that had tested positive. So instead of being home on a 14 day quarantine she is at work. Maybe getting others sick. Right next to the Wendys is a Walmart that had a vary full parking lot. I am afraid people are becoming complacent. I am in the Midwest it is not as bad yet as on the coasts. As soon as they do take it serious it will be to late.

Remember when mom would say when you were little, "Don't put that in you mouth, you don't know where it's been".

That's what I don't understand. Many people across the nation are panicking about the virus, hording toilet paper, eggs, and anything else they can get their hands on, but as a nation we don't seem to be acting in a way that reflects a serious desire to stop the virus. People are still going outside, congregating, walking around sick, etc. Maybe the pandemic is being blown out of proportion, maybe not. Regardless, too many people are continuing to carry on with their business as if nothing is going on...

Nothing is being blown out of proportion. People that are not taking this seriously
are going to spread it and maybe die themselves. It effects everyone differently.
The part that scares me is that we don't know if the body develops anti-bodies
against the virus. If not, we're screwed. You can get it multiple times. I hope
everyone stays well and I hope to see you all on the other side!

Sure hope you didn't accept your order.

I don't understand how people can say that "nothing is happening;" when something is clearly happening. This is going to be the part that gets to us. Too many people aren't willing to concede that we should alter our lives for just a little bit, if to at least rule out the possibility of "something" happening. I dunno. The whole thing is a mess...

I don't even want to say what the better-half said about social distancing at the grocery upon her return today!

She didn't say it was the virus he tested positive for but I doubt he was pregnant. She was upset so I have to think it was the virus.

The part that concerns me about driving through a fast food line, is paying. You touch your debit card, hand it to the cashier to swipe, and they hand it back. Even if they're wearing gloves, how many cards have those gloves touched ? Same with paying cash, and receiving change.
A while back, there was a thread on here about hand dryers in bathrooms. We were discussing who touches the door handles, after washing/ not washing etc. Some said it was silly to be such germaphobes. Now , with this, i wonder.

I think I'm going by the rules. My typical day with this virus going on has been.
Sleep in late
Shower and clean up
Watch a little TV, old westerns, etc.
When I get bored, I go to my building (no one but me)
Get a car out and go for a ride, stop nowhere other than the occasional red light. I do get a few thumbs up from at least 10-20 feet. Proper social distancing.
Fix all my food at home.
Relax a little while keeping an eye on the forum here.
Text with friends.
I haven't been to the shop in two weeks but if I decide to I will tell my two guys that alternate days there now that I will be there for the day and to stay home. Some work is still coming in but I am told that most are very careful and don't get too close. Materials are provided to wipe down steering wheels, seats and anything that we touch including ourselves before and after the work is performed. This is 1000% more than we have ever done before. We are not quitting and it's half pay, but enough to get by.

Aaron, the Speedway GetGo she hits her sanitizer before&after.

You have bought into the hype.
It IS being blown out of proportion.
Your entire response here is biased and easily refuted.
I'm not taking it seriously. I feel fine.
Not everyone will be infected. Not all that DO get infected will die from it.

I won't even pull off into a drive thru. what worries me more than paying are the people making the food could be shoveling bags of covid 19 right out the window. to me it's rolling the dice for a big mac. maybe I'm a little paranoid, but I do not want to get sick

When the fridge and freezer start getting low.. I've already been eyeballing the back yard squirrels and setting the sights. Can't decide on Black or Grey first...

Christ, some of you guys worry way too much.

The current situation with the pandemic has only reinforced what I have known for many, many years. By and large we are a nation of idiotic sheep who are easily manipulated.
Pretty funny to watch actually but terrifying as well to see the economy get sucked down the tubes because of ignorance and stupidity.
I still haven't figured out the toilet paper thing. This isn't a gastrointestinal virus.
Wake the **** up people.
