Who has been put out of work and sent home ?

ITs not mandatory. They’re just calling on those to come back in area hotspots like NYC and LA. Not like the military reserves.

There are going to be a LOT of Christmas/New Year's babies...:monkeyleft:

I'm still working. A blessing not without its perils...

I didn't want to be laid off but a couple of weeks of authorized time off would have been fine with me.

Moved from California to Alabama last October to take a job with NASA.
He was laid off on Wednesday.
He transported 6 cars, three of them that didn't run....three U-haul trucks of stuff too. He barely has unpacked !

Im working every second day. glad I have that. If I was with the company I was before I d be home and on E.I.

Been a big spike in cases here in FL - all those damn Spring breakers and travelers from NY, NJ. I work in the defense industry so we are considered essential business and the company will remain open unless things get REALLY bad - zombie apocalypse. However, the company announced Friday that only essential personnel are allowed on site starting tomorrow. All others work from home or take time off (sick, vacation or unpaid leave) if you can't do your work remotely. I am on the "essential employee" list so will be in the office unless I get sick or pick up another project that I can work remotely. I'm not as productive working from home because of all the distractions and suspect many others have similar issues, but at least we're still working.

As much as I'd love some time off to work on all my projects, I'm really thankful that I'm still working and getting paid.

You be careful, it is creeping your way.

Yep. We are well isolated at home. Wife is minimizing her trips to the store and I am only going to work. Company is taking it seriously. Extra cleanings and only web meetings plus telling people to stay home if they are sick or concerned about getting sick. At least 30-40% were already working from home and now it will probably be more like 70% or more.

He should thank God he's no longer in Kalifornia.

He is happy that he left.
I am still considering a mover after I retire.

I work for an RV dealership in the Parts dept. Just got my Stand By notice through 5-16. Might get my car put back together sooner than expected!
Anyone still looking for TP? Try your local RV store, I still had 500 4pks of 2ply left before closing.

I wish it would might just wake a lot of these silly young ***`s up

The trucking job that was in the pipe line is on hold now so I guess it isn't so bad to be older and on SS (as long as it doesn't stop) and.......SINGLE! Finally found some frozen veggies at the grocery store yesterday and now have a crock pot full with chicken and smellin good. Now I just hope going to the store isn't my demise. As of yesterday, only 7 people that I heard about had the dreaded crap in my immediate area.

My son was called back to work yesterday... He was laid off for a week but it is day by day now...
