71 R/T tail lights

I have two sets of tail lights for my 71, one in black and one in argent, both in superb condition. The car came with colored bumpers, which set is correct.

Argent for all 71 R/Ts ( Chromed and colored ), all 500s ( they were just Chromed ) and SuperBees just with colored coded bumper.

Black for all 72 Rallyes ( which were just chromed bumper anyway )

This is an original set from a 71 Charger R / T, untouched for 49 years ,they are argent.

No its actual argent, I dusted them off before I took the photos. Where the argent is worn off they are black under the argent. I would guess they were painted black first,then a stencil was used to spray the argent on them.

Great, thanks for the info. The car came with black lamps (maybe they have been painted) but I bought a pair of complete argent tri color lamps NOS quite a while ago. Never been on a car. I actually prefer the black.

once ( looooong time ago ) I prepaired this file where I made a mistake about the colored bumper setup.

but the correct on the Colored bumpers for 71 ( either R/T or Bee ) is this:

49 years? Was it removed from the car right after it was new? Dealer part?

By untouched,I mean they were never repainted,and show 49 years of wear on the original finish.
