I while back I started a thread in regards to my 66 Hemi Coronet. The 833 would slip out of fourth if I would coast. Long story short the car now has a new Tremec 5 speed. It was a choice between the gear vendor overdrive or the Tremec.
I rebuilt the 4 speed, dog teeth were in bad shape on the input 4th gear. You can look at Brewers parts invoice for everything that was replaced.
So if I can get a fair value I’m offering as a package the transmission, bell housing and shield, flywheel and clutch assembly, brewers conversion Hurst shifter with Inland handle (cable for reverse lockout is broken, I also will include original Inland shift linkage) direct drive starter, throw out bearing, drive shaft , trans mount and cross member. Asking 6000 or best offer, everything is bolt in ready as is, even the clutch which has maybe 3k miles. Not interested in breaking up package, if it doesn’t sell I’ll be bringing this to Mopar Carlisle assuming those virus goes away by then.

If it's an original Hemi car & the fact you have the direct drive starter tells me it likely is selling the original parts would be a pretty foolish move....

i appreciate your feelings. It is an original Hemi car and the trans is date code correct but I have no idea about if it was born in or not. I know the engine is not. I was always an original everything kind of guy. As I’ve gotten older (61) I’ve come to the conclusion that my old car stuff needs to be more user friendly than oe. The addition of power steering, power brakes, bucket seats and now the 5 speed has made for an enjoyable ride that I don’t hesitate to drive long distances to show.
I’ve almost always parted with my cars at auction when the time comes. Most auction buyers I’ve found comes in two varieties, the stock crowd and the crowd that wants a usable car, looks vintage but has some modern aspects. There is actually a third group that doesn’t have a clue. I would just end up including all the original parts but it would only have a very marginal impact on the price. These 66 cars for whatever reason don’t bring big money. I’d rather recoup the value of these parts if I get a strong price, this is by no means a fire sale. I hate to just put all these parts on a rack if somebody putting together a Hemi car could benefit .
Just my opinion, I know people feel strongly both ways. Dan

Your not wrong.. I too like to drive my stuff & the way it drives is more important that the numbers.... But I'd still have a hard time separating an original Hemi car... But you are 100% correct about the value aspect & helping another car get put back to stock...

I appreciate your response..

Oh, and now I'll be chastised for talking in a for sale thread...

Being we are talking in this for sale ad, you pictured the driveshaft, but didn't mention it in the ad. Is it included or has it been reused?

I’d be interested in the bell housing dust shield and starter for my 66, I have a 70 trans but maybe could sell that and buy trans. Anyway let me know. Mike

Might add, the driveshaft you dhow is not the correct one for that year.

All I can tell you of the driveshaft is that is the one the car rolled with. I’m pretty sure the original drivetrain was not with this car when it restored

I’d rather try to move the package complete or just shelve it complete. Thanks
