Front end mysteries

Does your car have a number under the "R" on the fender tag?
(not the "r")

If not, it was not built with a radio.
This is fairly common.

My 66 has no R value, but has a factory radio with dual angled antennas on the rear and dual 5" rear speakers.
I am 99.5% certain that this was all put in by the dealer.

There are no other modifications to my car.

There is no antenna hole on my pass side fender.

This is what's uncommon to find, as many dealer installed radios also got factory antenna locations.

Unfortunately the fender is dented beyond my ability to repair, so a neat feture of the car will have to be replaced with a "normal" fender with the hole welded up.

I believe in the FSM, along with a template to mount a pass side mirror, is a template to drill an antenna hole in the fender.

Thinking about this and finally found pic. I think this was on a 70 Gran Fury. Remember seeing any of those huge antennas?

Goober doesn't believe in cotter pins. I stripped the old front end today and found aluminum solid wire in place of cotter pins. Goober fails to disappoint.

Do the sway bar end mounts bolt to the lower shock bolt?

I've got everything torn apart now but I think that was the case.

Yeah, I got it but I haven't been able to do anything with what's going on at home. I'll reply to your PM
