I took delivery of my new 64 d100 yesterday. I need another project like a hole in the head but this one was too good to pass up.
Old California forestry department truck. 318 poly with 727 and dana 60! has 8 lug wheels and the shifter on the dash and a factory spot light. Heavy duty suspension etc. It needs a little help(floorboards) but is pretty good overall. You can still faintly see the tree emblems on the doors.
I think its pretty unique with all the 3/4 ton stuff on a d100. I'm pretty excited to get it running.

thats pretty cool.Shifter on the dash could you post a better pic please

I never seen a shifter on the dash or Im getting old and dont remember.

Nice find!! Love old dodge truck, had a 71 camper special with a straight axle and a 318. Ran forever. You did good, Congratulations!!

The vans of that vintage had those dash mounted shifters too. That would be cool to retro fit
using a cable shift tranny in a early B.

cool rig, congrats & good luck

The hood is still straight too! If you look around, many hoods have a crease where they popped open and hit the roof of the truck.
I had a '68 3/4 ton 2-wheel drive Camper special back in the 1980's. 4:10 Dana 60 rear axle. It had the power assist steering which I never liked, and though about doing a front suspension conversion. The dash shifter was pretty cool!
