I’ve started wet sanding the clear coat now. Hopefully I’ll have all the cutting and buffing done in the next few weeks.

We had an unusually warm day last weekend so I took advantage of it and blasted the rear end housing, k member and torsion bars. Then sprayed sealer and black paint.

So much for trying to update thread from my cell phone.... Comes out totally different.

Got the wet sanding done and started buffing last night. It’s starting to look really nice.

Got the stripes put on tonight. It’s nice to see something other than blue on the car. Can’t wait to see how it looks once the white vinyl top goes on.

This thing is going to look great. Looking forward to seeing it done.

Started assembly on some items. Installed new fuel and brake lines before pulling off the rotisserie. Also started rebuilding the headlight bucket assemblies.

My brother and I are looking to put on vinyl top this coming weekend.

My brother and I have never attempted to install a vinyl top, but we were willing to give it a shot. Found a few helpful links on FBBO to give us some confidence and we went for it. With a little patience and care, it turned out nice.

Looks good to me! I used to be timid about doing vinyl tops myself - then did it once and wondered why I sweated it so much --- it's not difficult at all - just nerve racking

It was a little nerve racking, but if you take your time and not try to do too large of an area at a time, it turns out okay.

Been cleaning and polishing trim. Looking good once put back on the car.
