Mom in law

Steve, my condolences to you, your wife and the rest of your family. Be comforted that you were a caring son-in-law that devoted himself to her well being. I'm sure she will be telling the man upstairs to put some extra checkmarks in your good deeds column. - Abe
 
Sorry Thatfor your loss. That was a good run though! And now with all this crap going on probably better for her ,no suffering.

I took care of her, I cooked for her and looked in on her. I fought with her to wear that medic alert ( I won that one). I tried to get her a lady to help her. at home ( I lost that one). When she was in the hospital just before she came home on hospice I hired a woman to clean her house top to bottom. She smelled how clean the house was and was happy
When we, my wife and I were young with little children, she was always there for us. When I was out on strike, trying to do jobs to make ends meet, everyday Tuesday she would drop off a shopping bag of groceries for us
I never called her Mom, we were on a first name bases. She never said it but she respected and appreciated me for taking care of her daughter and I appreciated her for what she did for her children
With her death their all gone now and my world is a that much more empty
 
Sorry to hear of your loss. A life well lived, I'm sure she saw a lot of joy with all the grand kids. God bless, be well.

Steve, I'm sorry to hear your loss and your family's loss. I also thought the family resemblance is strong between the generations. Stay safe and healthy and keep her memories alive.
