Where do the spring steel pieces that are the catches mount?
Got my original wheel lip moldings and tail panel back from the guy who had them reanodized and painted yesterday. A retired gent from MI referred to me by @Big D A12. Same guy who helped him out with his floral Bee.

Yeah, after reading how long it took you on yours, I thought $350. to have mine restored was a bargain.
The wheel well moldings are not perfect by any means on the bottom side, but what shows turned out real nice. After using reproduction moldings on a previous restoration, fighting to get them to fit and look 1/2 way decent, I said never again if my originals were at all usable.

Not to mention the new ones don't come pre-drilled.
No, $350. for just the tail panel. The wheel well moldings were $280. for the set. And yes, he repaired any bad spots.

They look nice. Did you get them bright dipped?
Guess I don't know the answer to that, didn't know there were different types of anodizing. They shine like an original.

It's getting harder to find a shop that does BD. It accentuates the shiny finish of the polished aluminum. In other words, it's a lot more shiny than regular anodizing.
