Advance the timing and lean the carb for higher elevation.
 
If you are referring to the starter relay ... that's where they are on a 74.

yes, nice to have no rust, very different from every ebody I have owned.

I will try that, any suggestion of how much more advance?
I know I don't have the actual number at this moment but will find that out.
 
I looked it up and some say 1/2 degree for every 1,000 feet above sea level, others said 1 degree. I'd try 2 degrees above what it's at now and go from there.
Don't forget the vacuum advance. You might be able to bring the vacuum advance in earlier and not have to mess with initial timing.
You might also check the advance curve of the distributor and see if it needs work or not.
Tune, tune, tune.
 
Very nice purchase. It helps when you don't have to deal with major rust. A very restorable car....:thumbsup:
