I have a '66 Charger with all drums and power brakes. Had to replace its leaky power booster, so I took the opportunity to upgrade from single to dual reservoir too. Part numbers were different for drum-drum vs. disc-drum booster, and I'm not converting to discs (at least yet), so I ordered the drum-drum booster, 2-reservoir master cylinder, and new stainless lines. What I don't have are the *other* things that go between the master cylinder and the wheels:

No proportioning valve is required for an all-drum brake system, right? Searching online, I can't find an explicitly "drum-drum" distribution block for a dual reservoir system, just "disc-drum" and "disc-disc" proportioning valves. Does such a part exist, or how does everyone plumb a substitute part even though it's not sold as "drum-drum"?

I believe I also need to add residual pressure valves (2 psi?) somewhere inline, because new master cylinders don't include them (unlike the "death pot" single reservoirs, which did?). Where do people put 'em--can I get away with one residual valve in each circuit near the master cylinder, or do I have to put one at each wheel?

Thanks for your advice!

I switched to dual master with PB buying a 67 drum master cylinder for PB. Bought a distribution block, the one with just the differential switch. front reservoir rear brakes and rear reservoir front is the way I plumbed it.

Correct no proportioning valve is required.
Any distribution block will do as equal hydraulic pressure is required at all 4 wheels.
Normally a drum/drum will have the residual valves built in to the master cylinder - you should check if they are there. They are normally behind the fittings were the brake pipes go in.
If they are not there you need one in each circuit before the front/rear distribution block.
I know Willwood sell residual valves.
Do you want to retain the brake warning light on the dash? Your car may not have one I do not know.
If you don't piping the brakes is much simpler.

The distribution block from a 67 is what you need. It bolts below the master/booster on the car frame.. They are being reproduced... You will have to replace at least some of your brake lines

There are several different size fittings, master and distribution block. You can buy adapters for master to regular brake line fittings. Be sure there is enough thread so they seat in master. I bought some an ran out of thread before seating. Blurry pic but you can see adapters .

Thanks everyone--I'm looking at a BLK244 distribution block now thanks to your advice.

I forgot to ask about metering valves, or hold-off valves, for the rear wheels. I don't know whether my '66 already has one, but I have a full set of new lines to install--will I need to "splice" one in (or two, one in each circuit?)?
