Irresponsible Mancini customer service

I called mancini the other day for some AMK bolts. I was on hold for over an hour. Started at 4th, then 3rd, then 2nd, and was 1 for at least 45 min. I figure the number changed as other callers got tired of waiting and hung up. I called back the next day, and was number 2, so I hung up and called AMK directly. This would be the first time I had an issue with them, and I chalk it up the the virus BS. I usually talk to Wes.

Im in agreement with Miss Leanne, but I understand the OP's frustration. Ive been on the phone with Classic air this week and last as once again im having issues with their product. I dealt with "Dwight" out of Texas. Good guy, knows the product and. he is working from home. Twice I left messages and he didn't call back later on in the day. Thats understandably as im sure he is up to his neck in work. We figured out my issue (I hope) and I ordered a new part.
I think we all need to be patient during these stressful times
When I installed Classic Air a few years ago it was Dwight who took my calls and helped me out. He was great.

Dwight is a nice guy and very patient. I am though disappointed with this system. Ive hardly used the system, the first water valve went bad and I was given the new type. Everything worked fine, then the Defrost wouldn't work, I recalibrated the system again and that works, since then the valve wont open for hot water. Its free and I have juice to the switch. The motor to open valve runs if I jump it. Maybe diode inside is bad or the limit switch
At this point im just trying a new valve and if thats the problem after this virus calms down im going to want to talk to Dwights boss. Im tired of pissing my money away on stuff that doesnt work worth a ****

Customer Service Sucks! There are other vendors out there.

Classic Industries - No way!
Mancini - Couple orders, never called to order. Always online. There are a couple vendors that do the shipping separate. It’s not 1985 anymore. Not sure why they can’t figure it out when the order is placed.

So I finally got a call back from Mancini and guess what!? My credit card was charged and my parts were shipped to someone else! Geez. .they told me they would box up my parts again and send them to me! Hope they have what I ordered now. .they should do their homework before blaming me saying I never called and placed an order! Problem solved for now. .maybe. .

Not to make excuses for anyone here (and I've done business with Mancini several times over the
decades - and have even asked for advice a few times, which they always gladly gave), but I've seen
a couple news articles recently about the big shipping companies (including USPS) literally running
at historic levels and being slower to get things delivered.
Apparently all these folks staying home are busy ordering stuff online...
go figure. :)

Mancini doesn’t charge your card until the parts come in.
So you card is still free from any charges on parts they do not have.
So, If someone goes belly up, you were never charged.

I'd love to order......but not lay out thousands not knowing when or if....they will remain liquid long enough to ship.

I think it meant generally.....was not really targeting Mancini, but custom order stuff does get charged......as it should.

My card was charged because they shipped my parts to someone else. .then told me I never ordered anything

Summit Racing, every possible facet of their:
Ordering
Shipping
Tracking
Delivery
RETURNS
practices and policies, as well as retaining customer history of products ordered
ABSOLUTELY, ASTRONOMICALLY ABOVE ANY OTHER COMPANY THEY ARE THE BEST!
One example was them recommending the wrong pressure plate, after I ordered the wrong pressure plate. I was facing my local club's annual track day, and the afternoon before the "big day" my 3 finger Borg and Beck pp boogered up, so I rushed through the choices and being easily confused by the 10.5" disc/pp scalloped blah blah etc..I picked the wrong one and had it overnighted for A.M. Saturday delivery. Well I didn't make it, and about 2 or 3 weeks later when I did get around to trying to install it I saw it was wrong. I had Summit help me order the "right" one, but I didn't get around to that for another 6 weeks, and I must have given them bad info because it didn't fit either.
McLeod (who was the manufacturer of all 3 pp units) finally got me fixed up. They "built" a diaphragm style pp that has 2,900 pounds of clamping pressure and fits like a glove, and works with my existing disc. The 3 finger unit had been discontinued (because they were a P.O.S.)
:drama:
So....
That's a long way to get to my point: After about 6 months, I finally got in touch with Summit and they looked up and emailed me the receipt for the first one, I sent that receipt along with the one I didn't lose for the 2nd pp and got full credit for BOTH and they sent a shipping label to cover return shipping!
:lowdown:Summit customer service is THE BEST!

Speaking of horrific shipping/customer service...
UPS Freight was the shipping company for my $5K grill I've wanted for 15 years.
I even went shopping yesterday for a host of meats, salmon, chicken, and fresh veggies, and marinades and some juices, sauces, and whatnot in preparation for my weekend of grilling and barbecuing.
I immediately signed up for ALL facets of notification in the shipping process. Today was supposed to be the "big day" my grill arrived, but by 3:30 I hadn't seen a freight truck nor got a call. I get an email that says they "tried to make delivery arrangements but failed"
I immediately called UPS Freight and after the insufferable electronic push this say that crap, I got a human and they claimed that when the depot called they didn't get an answer and I had no voicemail...
BULLSHIT! :mob::mad::bs::elmer::cursin:
My phone is critically important and thus worn like a liver, always with me, and my voicemail works fine! So the depot called me and said the same :bs: and I said whoever claimed that was A LIAR. They asked if I wanted it delivered Monday, from "10am to 5pm" :mob::cursin::mad::bs:
I asked for the supervisor, and was told "he just stepped into a conference". I asked when he'd be available and got the "no idea" answer. So on top of the bold faced LIE regarding trying to call me, now I'm getting a sociopath who literally could not care less how pissed off I was for wasting my day, being LIED to, or anything else.
I asked how late they were open for pick ups, drove there and the guy at the dock was the supervisor who had allegedly gone "into a conference"...He was the ONLY one there, other than office people, I'm sure the "couldn't care less" person included.
After I auditioned for the lead story on the local news "Disgruntled customer goes ballistic at UPS Freight depot" he got my shipment, assured me he would address the abysmal customer abuse I went through, and went above and beyond helping me get my big, heavy grill loaded in the van. He was the only decent person I dealt with through that whole shitshow.

What was the 5K grill? a 64 65 superstock is around 2k a 71 cuda round 1200. just curious i was real giddy waiting for my 64 SS grill when it came usps.

I've ordered from Mancini for several years and will probably continue. With that said, there customer service is pretty bad. My complaint is the just the rude attitude with those guys. My last big order for a complete 8 3/4, axles , and drive shaft was the tipping point for me, with the "mis information", "can you call back and ask for X" and "your better off just calling the vendor direct".

I totally agree with how rude they sound on the phone as well.
By the way if you need anything for a rearend, driveshaft, or brakes I would highly recommend you go through Cass at Dr. Diff. You will not be disappointed.

Hmmm. Wonder if it's a sign of the time. I've sourced from Mancini many, many times over the last few decades and I couldn't think of anything negative to say. Example: years ago as I was teaching my son to build an engine, he broke a piston ring. I called Mancini, told them what happened, they sent me another ring. Free.

I'm gonna jinx it...

Placed an order with them on the 28th. Paid with PayPal and only the amount of the part was sent. Then the next day I get an email that states they need to send an invoice to PP with the shipping and taxes. Who does this? Anyway the invoice was sent and I paid that. Didn't receive any confirmation with the total or shipping info. This was on the 30th.

Called them yesterday for a status and they stated it was shipped on the 30th, USPS and gave me the tracking number. It's still in transit to the next destination.
I'm being patient. :wetting:

Placed an order with Summit Racing this Wednesday at 7:45 pm. Recieved it the next day, Thursday at 12:20 in the afternoon. This was from the Ohio warehouse and by FedEx.

I hope you were talking to them and not some scammer.

I might have Jinxed it.

The package left Detroit and went west 450 miles to Illinois. Hello! I'm in Pennsylvania! :hifu:

Talked to Mancini about it. Everything was done right on their end. Called USPS and they said "That's not right!". So they started an inquiry. I received an email from my town's USPS stating that they are on it. :wetting:

Everything goes to Chicago and out, even our mailings!

It always has been around two or three days ordering from that area for me. Things always head to Philadelphia. Eight days for this package and it really hasn't left that part of the country yet. Even the PO said somethings wrong. I know the Covid 19 has things screwed up, I'm just wanting to get this thing back together.
