Wrecked 68 charger on auction

I like the estimated repair cost of $61,982 For that amount I can fix this one and then buy another one just as nice and still have a little $$$$ left over.

Looks like the estimator wants the car and is trying to run everyone off. :)

It's gonna take a trip to the frame rack, until all the tugging and pulling **** back into shape/square are you really gonna get a good idea what's going to take.
Fixable? Yes. Cheap? No

Maybe that $60K repair estimate was correct lol. I wonder what the car was insured for...

I don't think it would need much just sheet metal the hit looks high! But to pay someone to fix it I see the $60k coming in
If it's cheap enough it's worth while I didn't see a price.

Drivers side sail panel is wrinkled pretty good. I would think some seriously bent frame rail.

It's going to need some time on a frame machine for sure. How much I don't know and can't estimate from the pictures. Most shops have a minimum of 4-6 hours. Our old cars don't lend themselves to this kind of work easily. The metal is much thicker and doesn't unfold nearly as easy as the new tin cans. I can see 60K, for this if the owner wants quality paint and finish body work. Driver quality repairs would be substantially less. A random guess maybe 45-60% of the estimate. This is just my opinion, so take it at that.

I’ll bet some tears were shed that day.

Even the Passenger side door no longer lines up to the quarter panel. It can be fixed for sure but it more than likely needs everything from roof pillars back to try and make it right unless some time on a frame machine gets the passenger side back where it belongs....

Here is what I see. First impact was at the back of the door (looks like a large post of some type). This pushed in the sheet metal but not far enough to affect the rocker (look at the 360 view). The crush pattern stops at the thickened rocker assembly. This initial impact started the car to rotate counter clockwise as the front end is much heavier that the back. My guess is that the car was in a yaw to the left with the driver trying to correct by steering to the right (almost made it) prior to impact.
The car was still going forward and briefly lost contact with the post (as evidenced by the lack of damage to the wheel molding trim). This is part of the conservation of momentum. The post didn't move much so the car had to. Anyway, the car was still sliding toward the post when the second impact happened just behind the rear wheel. The post drove into the car buckling the metal far enough to hang up on the rear bumper as the slide continued. This action bent the bumper backward. At this point all movement stops, except for the driver's heart beat (way up) and his/her mouth saying WTF just happened. The damage to the rear is a little hard to interpret as it appears that someone has pulled the metal away from the tire so it could roll. Doesn't look like it went too deep other then buckling up the trunk floor. All and all probably a low speed impact, less that 25 MPH at time of impact. Much faster than that and the 1/4 glass and rear window would have blown out. Best guess, lost it on a curve and almost got it stopped before the post decided to help. Was this what happened, IDK, I wasn't there.

That hit looks like it is above the frame rails, two quarters, a tailpanel, a valance and corners, is what it needs. Of course it needs a bumper lights and moldings too. I would have it put on a frame machine to be sure it is trued up,but I would have no problem fixing that one.

Would also depend on how soft the car ever was before it was fixed up the first time and how well that was done
Could just be all patched up on the bottom side now to start with
