Towed a 56 Chevy 80 miles with a tow bar once. Tight turns weren't too good lol.

Reminds me of a story my buddy told me one time. Took the 340 Demon up to the races one time. Early 70's. Tow vehicle with tow bar was a 57 Chevy. On way home the tow vehicle broke down. Ended up that the Demon race car towed the Chevy back home. LOL. Same local track, 150 miles one way.

Here's one. From the 60's. No trailer but a 57 chevy tow rig. My cousins kid still has this 35 chevy coupe too. Still in same 1960's metalflake red but with lots of patina.

Yeah, the tow hubs worked much better for flat towing a car with a dana/spool. We did have to jump out occasionally to turn the front wheels the right direction when going around corners.

Even though it was illegal one of the guys rode in the towed car to handle the tight turn steering.Without I drug my car thru intersections plenty with the tires in the wrong direction.Cussin' like no tomorrow.

Now what would you all say if I told you the 1977 Sox & Martin Dodge hauler might be coming up for sale?
My friend joe is thinking of letting it go.He just retired and will sell of at least half of the cars he's hoarding.....

And is that a later model Cummins in it?

Yes it is.A 90's Cummins and the dash from the doner 2500 were grafted into the cab.
Another friend of mine has the 413 block punched to 44o in his stick 73 Challenger.
A 90's Cummins had the individual valve covers on them.....well, the 97 did. Not sure if the 98.5 engines got the new head or not. I'm pretty sure the early 98's were still like the 97's.
