With last years attendance I would like to know if there was any cost covered and recovered by any of our coordinators.I don't know if chairs & tables were free.If we all need to cough up $5 or $10 bucks please count me in.I will also bring my car over to over to the tent as I have plenty of dust collectors and will bring attention to us for new me members :drinks::usflag:
Last year, 2019, Richard went out of his way, and rented the chairs form the Fairgrounds Organizers, and Steve followed that up by bringing the tables on his own, delivery & pick up. The cost of the Tent was covered by donations collected in a drop box at the tent, and we broke even last year, and deemed the endeavor a success...

Hi gang. When I sent in my registration I indicated affiliated to FBBO. Coming a long way to attend. I will drop by to say Hi, sorry I can’t volunteer any time. It will be biggest all Mopar event I have attended so I intend on seeing all I can. Stay healthy. Here’s hoping this madness ends soon.

Dan, I think if you give them a call, they'd let you add it. Ask for, or mention Ed Buczeskie, and give it a try, Thanks.
Ed sent me a reply. Said they only recognize club affiliation for show field registration not vendor registration. I tried. I’ll chip in if you don’t get enough registrations
Dan

I just got an email from Ed. Looks like the form I sent was blank but we are working out the details - no big deal.

He indicated that we are already at 10 people registered, and I haven't even registered mine yet, so that means 11.

We are well on our way!!!

I would love to be able to combine and/or invite our A, C and E body friends.

I too would love to do that. However I did not originally see FCBO as a club attending Carlisle. I am also on FCBO, so I asked one of my friends there why we are not on the list ,and he said the C-body community is much smaller than the b & e bodied communities so there would not be enough members to participate, and technically they don't really care about being a "club" there. They already have a spot to hang out at already too. It's worth a try I suppose.

Saw this on Carlisle's Facebook page a few days ago. They are celebrating the Rapid Transit System this year! I emailed Mr. Ed at Carlisle about another topic and since I did not see the RTS being celebrated I threw it out there, apparently he agrees with me. I am very very excited about it. May I also suggest putting this on the A & E Body Only sites though you know to spread the word a little bit more, I put it on C-body site already. Anyone interested in applying?

The C-Body owners have a very strong group attending the show. Most of them are registered under the following groups: Chrysler 300 International Club, Forward Look Network and the National DeSoto Club. Probably most of the guys in these groups do venture over to FCBO, but the 300 group is very active that weekend with activities.

I know that Dan and myself posted over on FABO and I posted over on FEBO as well. Once we get a bit closer to the July date and possibly a decision on the status of the event, I will make it a point to post over on FABO, FCBO and FEBO as well to offer and invite to stop by.

I just want to confirm with everyone that I have the tent - I have seen the $180 charge to my card.

I know this pandemic nonsense is making plans uncertain, but whenever the Chrysler Nationals are held, the tent will be there and we will set up some fun things to do there. I'm thinking a grill out for lunch or dinner one day - I will bring the grill and tools at least. If we get an accurate count, I can bring some food too.

We will wait until we get some confirmed dates, but in the meantime please remember to register with FBBO as your club!

Spring Carlisle has been pushed back until Some time in June,
So! what does that do to our original Chrysler show dates ?

So far the dates are holding; here are current dates (https://carlisleevents.com/events):
  • Ford Carlisle: June 5-7
  • Spring Carlisle: June 17-20
  • Chevy Carlisle: June 26-27
  • Chrysler Carlisle: July 10-12
  • ... more events afterwards too ...
You can see things are getting pretty stacked up. There is essentially no more room to slide anything, and with the July 4th weekend in between Chevy and Chrysler Carlisle they probably can't use up that slot. The big question is: if things need to slide some more (this is likely, in my opinion), will they slide them all or just move the next event with an issue?

Either way, whenever Chrysler's at Carlisle will be held, I will be there!

If you should look at the remainder of the Carlisle schedule, there is not many open slots to fall back on.
Truck Nationals - August 7th-9th
Import Performance Nationals - August 14th-16th
Corvette Nationals - August 27th-30th
Fall Carlisle - September 30th - October 4th

You also have the Hershey AACA show on October 6th through the 10th.

Looking at those dates, you will see that the window is very tight. If those three June events get pushed back into the weeks following the Chrysler scheduled date, then it gets even tighter.

It is not a good situation for anyone, but first and foremost, the health of everyone is the most important factor. I personally feel that the state government will ultimately make the decision on allowing events of this nature to go on as planned.

I know that there is a lots of uncertainty with our current situation. I can only hope that they make a decision in a timely manner to postpone or reschedule. Do not go up to the last two weeks and make a decision. I am talking to a variety of vendors and participants and there is a lots of people who are very much on the fence on attending. So like everything else, it is a matter of wait and see, to what adjustments will have to be made.

I've been a member here at FBBO for a couple years now. I haven't posted or responded much to any threads so relative to the rest of you, I'm a new guy. I pre-registered for the Chrysler Nationals back on December 31 and didn't notice FBBO on the registered club list at that time. I'd like to show my car at or near the club tent, be registered as a FBBO club affiliate and meet some of the faces that belong the posts I've enjoyed for the last 2 years. I am willing to pitch-in for any show related expenses the club will incur. I've contacted Carlisle Events through their web page asking to have my registration updated to show affiliation with FBBO, I've yet to hear back from them. I'll post on this thread if I run into a lack of response, perhaps someone can suggest a contact for me to take it to the next level if necessary. Hope to see you all in July.

Thanks for checking in and registering as FBBO! We look forward to meeting you soon!

Thank you hsorman, looking forward meeting you too. I've received a reply from Carlisle, ( that was quick ) they've updated my club affiliation for the Chrysler show. I am now official registered as a FBBO club member.

It's amazing to hear people say the pandemic is nonsense. Just in the US, the deaths (so far 50,000) are about the same as from Vietnam (58,000). Are those guys nonsense too? Some people don't believe it until it happens to them.
Mrcob, this isn't the Political forum. No, the deaths from Viet Nam, nor the virus, are not nonsense, but tragic, and can never be corrected. At some point, this will pass, and time to get back to Life. We've been working on this for quite some time, to organize this group for our Meet at Carlisle. Hopefully it will happen, and it's anyone's choice to attend, or not. I can only say, if it was next weekend, I'd probably be going, weather permitting.

I'll be attending in July if the show doesn't get cancelled or postponed selling my stuff at spots F65, F66 & F67.

Hope to see you folks there.

mrcob, you said: "It's amazing to hear people say the pandemic is nonsense. Just in the US, the deaths (so far 50,000) are about the same as from Vietnam (58,000). Are those guys nonsense too? Some people don't believe it until it happens to them."

@mrcob My use of the term "nonsense" was not intended to mean the pandemic is not real or serious. I recognize it may have been interpreted that way. My sister-in-law lives in New York City, and she has some very scary stories to tell. The situation with the pandemic is pretty unprecedented with all the impact it has and uncertainty it brings. That was my intent of my post - not to belittle the situation.

The purpose of this thread is NOT to talk about the pandemic but rather plan for a get together whenever the Chrysler Nationals are held. Hope to see everyone there!

Saw this today. It's the new Carlisle shirt for this year. I unfortunately can't get a close up of it, but by the looks of it I'm not too impressed. I would have to see it in person in the store, and maybe buy one for half price from last year like I don't have enough already . Any thoughts on this years shirt though, anybody?......

As I did last year, I will attempt to compile a listing of those from this site who will be attending the July show or the rescheduled date. If your vending or exhibiting your car, let me know your space or spot number or a description of the car and I will keep the list updated. We will post a copy of the names and locations at my swap spaces and the FBBO tent, so that members can reach out to those that they want to meet.

I know that we all have apprehensions on how to handle the situation and unsure on what will be the outcome of the event. Either way, we must put things in place and if it should go on as scheduled, rescheduled or cancelled, we have the process started.

Like anything, we will adapt to the changes and make the best of the situation. Last year was the first year and even with limited involvement, I feel that it was a success and that we were able to make a Great Event even better for those who attended and participated.

There is no rules or requirements to meeting up as we want it to remain very informal as we all have agendas for the show weekend. Some will be coming for the first time while others have been attending for years. Some will be coming as a spectator only while others will be bringing a car to show and then there will be the guys coming to sell some parts.

Please post all suggestions as we are all looking for the show to bring a bit of "Normality" back to our lives. First and foremost, everyone stay safe and look forward to seeing everyone in July.

Thanks,
Richard

My family and I PLAN to be there as of right now, but please note these plans could change. If the restaurants are still not doing dine-in by Carlisle we are 95% likely not going, as it does not make sense and is a waste of time to go to eat dinner in the car every night. As I said last year, our b-body '66 Charger project is not going to be ready for a few more years as it is being restified at this time. Here is the build thread if anyone wants to see it, https://www.forbbodiesonly.com/moparforum/threads/so-it-begins-1966-charger-restification.182338/.

That said, as of now we plan to be there in the 1965-1968 C-body Modified class with our c-body shown here. It is a 1967 Fury III 4-door sedan with a 383, it was born white with a pink/champagne colored interior with a 318 2bbl and was a rescue car. I borrowed the picture of it here from Moparts, this was the last time it was at the Carlisle show in 2014.
