My project has come to a screeching halt because I need one window crank for my 1970 Coronet two door hardtop, rear windows. I own several but they are in my storage five hundred miles away. And I cannot go there because of covid lockdown. I just need one so that I can crank my windows up and down while I work on them. Various online dealers sell them but they are backlogged on shipping. Doesn’t need to be perfect, gold plated, concourse, just needs perfect splines. And needs to be shipped ASAP. I’m in Canada, you can just put this in a bubble envelope and send it. I can do PayPal the normal way, not friends and family. If I can’t find one by Tuesday I’ll get one from Classic.

is this what you need

If will take 2 weeks to get it cause it’s crossing the border. Well at least going to the states it does. Kim. I have some from A,B, and C bodies and trucks, but don’t know how to tell the difference.

davek, Idk, he never messaged me to say he wants one. I just know that with me sending parts/ letters to the states this last 3 weeks that it takes on the average 2 weeks at least. I would of thought he would of contacted someone for the handle. I will gladly send him one Kim

I live in the arctic, as per my licence plate. There are no parts stores.
Oldkimmer I don’t know the difference between the various types but from what I can tell they are the same from the early sixties until the mid eighties. If you could send me one I would appreciate it.

I believe they changed styles for 68, but the earlier ones have the same splines and take the same allen screw.

Hey, sorry for the delays in responding. For some reason when you guys post to me it doesn’t show up on my page at all, I have to search the original thread. That was the original delay; I kept checking my header looking for responses and saw none. It was only when I got an email wondering why I never replied that I got suspicious and checked.Yet every single response from dozens of other guys on other threads pop up.
So I want to say up front: thank you! Please be patient with me, I appreciate it.
I’ll run out to the shop and take a pic of the shaft that I need the handle to fit.

Ok, so here’s the best pic I could take. As long as the splines are the same it’ll be good as I just need it for running the mechanism up and down. I have four original sets to choose from, but unfortunately I can’t access them until the Coronavirus thing winds down, and that could be months or a year. If you could spare the screw as well I’d appreciate it. I need to see what thread it is so I can run a tap into the hole to clean the threads up.
