You know some of those hippies might have worked at the plant. And after a fat one at lunch the quality of work maybe upset by the haze

I'm inclined to agree! So far everything has been pointing to assembly error. Why not some fun involved. I've had some in this car!

So, found the assembly markings on the engine. Stamped 3 21 for the date which is actually the day after the 320 on the broadcast sheet. But, I have a feeling that is close enough. Thanks for the help on this one to all!

I have the same drivetrain miss-stamp issue with my Super Bee. All VIN numbers match except for the engine and trans. Engine and trans are 50,000 off from the rest. Using the casting date on the engine block, I discovered it is impossible to have my stamped engine VIN given the casting date.
