I've never run into this problem but I need a fan clutch for a 72 charger se with a 400 and factory ac/ radiator. .ive used Hayden fan clutches before, but this time they are too short for my 72. I tried a Hayden 2947 and found out the shaft is way too short. The fan blades hit my power steering pulley. Hayden 2765 would have the same problem. .my original fan clutch has a 1" stem on it, so who makes one of those for a big block mopar? Above are pictures of my original. Thanks!

Try Tony's parts www.tonysparts.com/b-body-parts
He offers a repro part that looks exactly what you need...... Hayden makes a variety of clutches but have slotted water pump mounting holes for a more universal application. What Tony offers looks very authentic but it costs $200. The choice is yours....

For a '73 Charger, 400 4bbl. w/AC. Offset is about an inch. I have had it on the car and it worked. I would be surprised if a '72 and a '73 Charger were different.

I got it at either Autozone or O'Reilley's, can't remember which.
Made in USA.
Now that I think about I can only say I'm pretty sure that is the right one. I did buy a fan clutch a few years ago for the '73 Charger and I'm pretty sure I put the old one in the new one's box. Then, one day I decided to put the old one back on and I put the new one back in its box.

Sweet thanks for the picture of the box! I was wanting a thermal one like that. Since I'm not doing a perfect factory resto the Hayden will work I think.
