Let's say that you came into a large sum of money, and you have up say,250k to spend on your dream Charger, which one would you buy. Myself I would love to own that triple black 70 Charger R/T, Hemi 4 speed, sunroof car with the red tail stripe!

I would want my old 1971 Dodge charger 440Magum 4speed again.

I would pick a 69 aero 500, with a hemi, floor shift 727, dana if available, in q5 turquoise with a white tail stripe, and any interior color except black.

I already have mine. My red 70 R/T S.E. I wouldn't change a thing. Now just want to get a 68 and 69 for the trifecta. I have owned all 3 years over the years just not all at the same time.

5 1968's
2 1969's
3 1970's

68 HEMI. Those car look great in black but I could live with any of them. I had a 68 RT 440 car that I sold after a divorce for $2500. At the time I got a pretty decent price. If I only knew where the prices on those cars would go!!!!

Aside from the one I already own, I'll be different and say a factory 69 383-4bbl 4 speed. Not common.

I would love to have a 68 383 4 speed car. Black or blue. Not picky.

I had a 69 500,440,auto,4.10 Dana,in Y2 yellow. When I bought the car, those cars didn't get much love despite their Nascar heritage. They could be bought for the same money as an R/T. Most people didn't realize what they were, and often complained about the grille and flush rear glass. The areo car guys considered them to be a failed experiment and nothing more than a stepping stone to the Daytona, even though 500s actually won more races than Dayton's did. They get more love these days.

Never a fan of a 69 500. The hideaway headlights and buttress rear window is what make these cars. The flush grille and flush window just look out of place. However, I love a 69 Daytona. Go figure....

I like the 500 because of the NASCAR heritage, the differences from the normal charger, and that it is not as outrageous as the wing cars. And a bit more affordable too. The 500 is odd and different. But then my taste is questionable anyway. I like 62 post cars too.

So many to choose from. Aside from the one I own, I'd love to have a '68 Bullitt replica, a '69 DMCL replica, and a nice '69 cruiser, meaning a loaded SE with sunroof, A/C, a subtle color combo, hubcaps and whitewalls, etc.

I can agree with you here. I do like the cars and am glad they exist. But the rear window and 68 grille are what makes it for me. And the 68 TAILIGHTS!!!!!! I would probably take a 4 speed Hemi 68 with red guts and black exterior and a red rear stripe. If I was forced to think like myself (blue collar) and wanted to be honest I'd order a 383 4 speed 4 barrel with the same colors.

I have been wanting back my triple black 71. I had it in 1978 and 79, then sold it because the trans seal started leaking and I didn't want to fix it. Been kicking myself ever since... Pic is from 1979, when I was like one of the Duke boys. Now, I am like Uncle Jesse.....

I traded my 500 to Troy for my 70 V code Charger R/T. I thought that the cars were fairly equal in value at the time of the trade.
