Guys, I got to watching old nascar races and got interested in the wing car numbers. Saw the 69 Daytona race and saw NO wing cars in that race and then a race in 70, I think, that had 23 wing cars. And then one in 71, again I think, that only had one, and that one had a reduced power/cubic inch motor. Question, what race when, did the first cars run in. What race had the most wing cars in and what race what year had the last car that competed.....thanks....

First race with Daytonas was Talladega, fall of 69.
Last race was the 1971 Daytona 500, one Daytona with a 305 engine.

You'll have to do the research for your other question. I'm too busy! :moparsmiley:
All the info is out there, you'll just need to look over each race and add things up.

Best I remember it was a destroked 340 that really ran well. Dick Brooks was the driver I think. He had some kind of problem just can’t remember what.

Yeah all that information is readily available online for sure, NASCAR and specifically the wing cars are well documented.

Hamilton wrecked him.

Yes, it was a destroked 340 block, done by Keith Black.
Had an early W2 looking set of heads.
