Hi,

I just purchased a 1969 Dodge Charger RT which is approximately here in about 3 Months. (I live in Germany)
Its in pretty good shape but i want to do some minor Improvements.

I already found most parts but i'm not sure on the following, yet:

1.Dixie Horn

I think about installing the Dixie Horn from Dukes of Hazzard as i think its pretty funny and
i like the show.

I found different ones with huge price differences.
I dont know much about these horns.
Can anybody tell me which is the best quality one or maybe even the one used on the show and where to buy?

2.Dash Cover

The dash of my car is in pretty good shape and i dont want this to change.
So i want to buy a Dash Cover to protect it from cracking.

I was already looking but all i found was this:
https://www.yearone.com/Product/chrysler-b-body/40blk#prettyPhoto

Is this good?
Are there anymore to choose from?

3.Dash Bezel

The Dash Bezel where all the gauges are located has been modified by one of the previous owners.

I already found a whole set:
https://www.moparshop.com/Online-Sh...warz-69-B-Body-mit-Klima-und-8-Spur-Radio?c=0

But they dont give these things away and i only need the bezel that holds the gauges.
Can i get this seperate without the other parts somewhere to save some bucks?

The Dixie Horn set I purchased in about 1987 had an Italian made compressor. I still have it, but it is locked away for now.

Yes thats exactly what im looking for.
Thanks.

Now i just need some advice for the Dash Cover and Dixie Horn and be ready to order all the parts. :)

I was doing some research and also came up with the Wolo 430 Dixie Horn
https://wolo-mfg.com/model-430-dixieland.html
But when i listen to some sound samples (Also the official from the Website using waybackmachine / web archive) it does not really sound like in the show.

I also found the Jubilee dixie horn / Jubil Aire / Jubiliee Air Horns / Jubilee Musical Air Horns (i dont know how they are called exactly) from 1979 with the Dixie Disk.
Listening to samples they sound way closer to what you can hear on the show.
So i guess that most likely is the best available dixie horn?
If i dont find something equally or better i think i will have to look for a used one.

Edit:

fiamm dixie horn also aint to bad.
but from the samples i found so far i think the jubilee dixie horn is the best. :)

I know you have been searching for the right car for quite awhile now, what did you buy?

At the moment most of the pictures i have are detail pictures with lots of them showing flaws of the car. I will introduce the car as soon as it arrives. :)

I bought a Survivor RT in good condition with nice options.
Its green not blue but i also like this color very much and when i saw it i knew i had to have it. :)

Somebody any advice on the Dash Cover? If not i think i will buy the one from yearone as its the only one i found and i guess it will do the job.

. Hope it was the dark green one listed here.

It was listed here so if there was only one listed then yes. :D
But dont know if i would call it dark green.

Yes exactly this is the car i bought. :)
If I had the extra cash and the room, it would have been mine. Well bought. It paid off for you to wait and not settle for something you really didn't want.
